Get access to honest, evidence-based information about what’s actually happening as your body develops, and how you can advocate for your health and the health of your community.

General Wellness
- Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM): Resources for Adolescents and Parents: Dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of adolescents, SAHM provides resources for teens and parents to address unique health needs for this stage of development, including mental health, sexual health, and substance use.
- Healthy Teen Network: Promotes better outcomes for adolescents and young adults by advancing social change, cultivating innovation, and strengthening youth-supporting professionals and organizations.
- Adolescent Development Explained: The Office of Population Affairs worked with the Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Adolescent Health to develop this overview of how health changes in the areas of physical, cognitive, emotional, and social, moral/values growth.
Mental Wellness and Safe Relationships
- National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Determining whether certain behavior is normal or a symptom of a mental health condition can be difficult. Learn when to ask for help, how to talk to your friends and family about mental health, and more.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call, text, or chat 988 for free, confidential support anytime, day or night.
- The Trevor Project: The Trevor Project’s mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people. Crisis intervention and suicide prevention support is available to youth via phone (1.866.488.7386), text (Text ‘START’ to 678-678), and chat (on the site).
- STOMP Out Bullying®: As the leading national anti-bullying and cyberbullying organization for kids and teens in the U.S., STOMP Out Bullying has resources and real-time supports to help address bullying, including sexual harassment.
Reproductive Health
- Bedsider: Bedsider is an online support network for people using or interested in using birth control. The website includes a wealth of information about birth control and encourages you to take an active role in your sexual health.
- Sex, Etc.Sex, Etc. offers honest and accurate information on sexual health. Their resources include a magazine and blog exploring personal stories from other teens and timely sexual health topics, plus forums to connect with other teens and opportunities to get involved with advocacy.
- Advocates for Youth: Advocates for Youth works alongside young people advocating for progress on issues like HIV, sex education, emergency contraception, and more. They encourage youth participation and awareness on these issues.
