Teen Health Arkansas

Mobilizing Youth Summit (MYSummit) is offered in three communities across Arkansas and is designed for youth who want to create real, sustainable change but aren’t sure where to start.

Ever cared deeply about an issue in your community and wondered how to actually do something about it? MYSummit helps young people turn passion and concern into clear, actionable steps. Through hands-on training, youth build leadership and advocacy skills, learn how change really happens, and step into their role as community change agents.

Participants work together to identify priority health issues, develop a youth-driven health agenda, and practice the skills needed to speak up, organize, and lead—locally and beyond. MYSummit doesn’t just inspire youth to care; it prepares them to act.

Over 400 youth across Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia have gained the skills, confidence, and support to step into leadership and create real change in their communities through MYSummit.

This spring, teens in three Arkansas communities will strengthen leadership and advocacy skills, learn how decisions are made, and discover how to move ideas into action. They leave better prepared to speak up, organize others, and lead efforts that improve health and well-being in their communities.

By working alongside peers, youth identify the issues that matter most to them and shape solutions that can create lasting impact. In fact, former participants in MYSummit have run for-and won- public office.  Click here to learn how to partner and get updates on THAR youth programs.
