Training and Outreach Coordinator

Reports to: Deputy Director

Position Summary

The Training and Outreach Coordinator delivers high-quality, engaging trainings across all of Teen Health Arkansas (THAR) program areas. This position ensures consistent, effective coordination and facilitation of THAR curricula for youth, caring adults, community partners, and other stakeholders. The Training and Outreach Coordinator also participates in outreach and tabling events, pulls simple tips or lessons from trainings for social media, manages training logistics, and supports ongoing improvements to training content.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery
  • Facilitate THAR trainings for diverse audiences across all program areas in Arkansas and the U.S. Southeast.
  • Adapt facilitation style to meet the needs of different learning environments, including in-person and virtual formats.
  • Maintain deep familiarity with all THAR training curricula, toolkits, and resources.
    Training Preparation & Logistics
  • Assemble and organize training materials in advance of each session.
    Coordinate with program staff and external partners to confirm dates, locations, and technical requirements.
  • Manage training set-up, including technology, handouts, evaluations, and supplies.
Outreach & Engagement
  • Represent THAR at outreach and tabling events to engage with community members and potential partners.
  • Build connections with stakeholders and promote THAR programs at public events.
Content Support, Quality Assurance & Communications
  • Provide feedback to program staff on training effectiveness and participant engagement.
  • Assist with updating and refining training content as needed.
  • Ensure all trainings reflect THAR’s commitment to inclusion and youth-centered approaches.
  • Pull out short, simple tips or lessons from trainings and share them with the communications team for posting on THAR’s social media.
Tracking & Reporting
  • Track training delivery, attendance, and participant feedback.
  • Facilitate survey and pre/post data collection for each training provided.
  • Submit training reports in a timely manner for internal evaluation and funder reporting.
Other Duties as Assigned
  • Support additional program activities and organizational events as requested.
  • Provide general program support during non-training periods, including resource development, partner follow-up, and event assistance.
Qualifications
  • Experience facilitating trainings or workshops for youth and/or adults.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and effectively deliver multiple program curricula.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort using technology for virtual training delivery (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Commitment to THAR’s mission of optimal health outcomes and youth empowerment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $50,000 to $60,000 annual salary
  • Teen Health Arkansas is a branch of Teen Health Mississippi (THMS). THAR/THMS contributes to employees’ retirement contributions and medical, dental, and vision insurance. Our benefits package includes generous paid holidays as well as paid time off.

Process

We will have a rolling application process, but applications received before June 30, 2026, will have priority. The position may be filled prior to that date.

  • After a review of applications received, we will schedule brief phone interviews with candidates meeting required qualifications. Candidates advancing to the later stages of the process will be asked to respond to open-answer questions, a job-related task, and a final interview. Candidates may be rejected at any point in the process.
  • The interview process will include thorough driving records and a social media background check as well as civil, criminal, and abuse background checks.
  • Submission of this application gives THAR permission to run a soft background check on the applicant.
